Sign up for Uber without a Smartphone

Call 24HrHomeCare at 800 522-1516 to set up a service agreement

  1. Call the same number when a ride is needed

  2. The company calls Uber and lets the client know the time of arrival and name of driver.

  3. After the ride, the client is billed (credit or debit card) the normal Uber fee plus $5 for setting up and billing the ride.

Handyworker Grant Programs:

The Los Angeles Housing & Community Investment Department (HCIDLA) Handyworker Program provides free minor home repairs and/or improvements to eligible homeowners that address basic health, safety, security, and accessibility issues of owner-occupied, single family homes or condominiums/town-homes to address the needs of low income seniors and persons with disabilities in the City of Los Angeles.  They cover the area of Topanga as well. Elderly Nutrition Programs (ENP)

Congregate Meals and Home Delivered Meals are available to qualifying older adults from local service providers.  Congregate Meals are designed to maintain and improve the physical well-being of older adults and encourage socialization through appropriate nutrition services in a group setting.  Home Delivered Meals are designed to maintain or improve the physical well-being of homebound adults through improved nutrition.  Referrals for local service providers based on zip codes can may be obtained by calling the County of Los Angeles Aging and Adult Services Call Center at (888) 202-4248
